Early this morning (January 8), Iran fired more than 10 ballistic missiles attwo US air bases in Iraq. Iran warns that if U.S. troops dare to fightback, they will launch attacks on U.S. territory.
Following the incident, U.S. President Trump, the Secretary of State, theSecretary of Defense and other officials held an emergency meeting at the WhiteHouse. So far, the United States has not made any substantive response.
At about 10.30 Beijing time, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that Iran hadended its self-defense operations and Iran had not sought to upgrade or war.
So, will Iran's revenge end here?

After the air strike, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued a statementclearly stating that the attack on Iraqi U.S. bases was to report the recoveryof Lemani, adding that Iran would launch more attacks if U.S. forces did notwithdraw from Iraq as soon as possible.
The statement mentioned that US allies such as Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia,Jordan and Israel will be attacked by Iran.
This time, Iran launched two rounds of air strikes, using 313"Conqueror" ballistic missiles with a range of 500kilometers. Most missiles hit the target. An American plane and otherfacilities were destroyed, but no soldiers were killed or injured.
A U.S. Central Command spokesman said that Iran fired 15 missiles this time, ofwhich 10 hit Assad base in western Iraq, 1 hit Erbil base in northern Iraq, and4 failed.
Why is Iran targeting these two US bases?
Iran's foreign minister revealed Iran's thoughts when he announced the end ofthe round. He said: "Iran has been based on" "to takeself-defense measures and concluded the peer for the relevant bases of Article51, the United States towards our people and senior officials launched an armedattack from those bases."
